Madain

Madain Sari was once a flourishing village, built of stone and basking in the sun, but after the attack by the forces of Terra, it was reduced to not much more than a pile of rubble.

The entrance to Madain Sari appears to have taken much of the brunt of the attack. As one continues further into the village, things clear up a bit. The village square, though full of rubble, is still functional. The chipped fountain is still running, and there are a few benches here that have survived the worst.

Turn right at the village square, and you'll come upon a rough rock path by a river. There's an archway at the far end; this leads to the Eidolon wall. This is a holy place, and the guard, Moco, is usually very reluctant to let people (other than Eiko) in. The interior of the Eidolon wall seems to have miraculously suffered little damage--though it has obviously been cracked and broken in places, the majority of it is still standings, and the mural of the Eidolons is still in decent condition.

If you go back to the village square and go left, you'll find Eiko's house. The outside is a neat stone area; inside you'll find her dining room, and, evidently, bedroom. There's a small circular table in the middle, and some books and windows. Written on the wall in the corner, you can find the words: "Eiko, three years old. / Mog, three years old. / Same age!"

Eiko's kitchen is the next stop. The roof is mostly destroyed, but the stove is still in the shade. There's a wooden, elevated patio overlooking the river with a few chairs on it. There's also a lower patio down some wooden steps. This is a good location for fishing.

The last room is a little back room underneath the kitchen. This is where the jewel of Madain Sari is kept; Eiko also seems to use it as a storage room.
