What is a fanlisting?

It's simply a list on the internet to bring together fans of a certain subject, whether it be a TV show, game, or in this case the relationship between a pair of characters. If you like this pairing, why not add yourself to the list?

About the coupling

The characters of Yeshua and Mary Magdalene, in Xenosaga, are one of the obvious biblical references in the series. It is obvious that in the past on Earth they were very close. This might be in part because of their innate abilities--Yeshua has the subconscious power of "Anima" and Mary posesses "Animus," making them counterparts. The extent of their relationship is not explicitly stated, but I believe that the game's inclusion of Rennes-le-chateau (the central location for the conspiracy theories stating that Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene were married and had offspring) may have been a nudge in the direction of a possible romantic connection. Of course, Rennes-le-chateau is also the home of the Church of Mary Magdalene, and may have been chosen only for that reason, but there's nothing concrete to stop speculation. Either way, it is evident in the game that the two were very close to each other.

In the present, Yeshua is still alive, calling himself "chaos" instead. Mary Magdalene sleeps in her crypt deep inside Rennes-le-chateau, and Vector Industries has created two androids for the purposes of someday hosting her soul, first KOS-MOS and then T-elos, who themselves are very remarkable. KOS-MOS eventually awakens to be Mary, but though she "is" Mary, she is also still KOS-MOS.

What makes this pairing different from chaos/KOS-MOS? I believe it was made quite clear that KOS-MOS, though awakened, was still her own person, willing to stand up to Wilhelm. Though chaos and KOS-MOS were together at the end of the series, Mary's soul was elsewhere in Nephilim.
